What is your board id number ? if it's MP-693C-SL MAIN V1.3 2005.12.14 i might have a FW that can help you....it fixed my chi-pod, although i lost some of it's features (games, ebook, tel book).

ghov, Your new player may have completely different firmware dispite that they look the same, and unfortunatly it is not possible to point you to a firmware that will fix your player. There are so many different variations now that it is a bit like finding a needle in a hay stack.

you're not wrong....even knowing the board id, screen number & battery types still won't help you in finding the EXACT firmware you need, but that info does help us help you :D

ghov, If you have already flashed your player there is no way to find what the original firmware version that was on your player because it is gone and the only way to look it up is on the player in Settings>Firmware Version. There are new firmware uploaded to site most days you need to keep tryin different firmware till you find the right one for your player.
