Default Half dead 512 mb MP-735C with a 1.8''screen

Hi,
Can any one help me to locate the firmware for my MP4 player. It is a 512 mb black MP-735C with a 1.8''screen. I have managed to revive my player in to the state of a usb device, but have not managed to get it back to the original shape i.e. use is it as a MP4 player. The photo of my mp4 player can be viewed at

http://www.mympxplayer.com/album_showpage.php?pic_id=80

Somebody please help me out.

Thanks

Arnab

Hi...I went googling for a firmware for your mp-735c, and came across a thread on s1mp3.org, and one person had succes using this fw HERE to revive their dead mp4 player....not sure if it will help you, but you can try

Edit: Link to the s1mp3 thread discussing the mp-735c is HERE

arnabdutta,
"bigmike88" has uploaded the firmware from his player that looks similar to yours so it may be worth a try. You can download it HERE.

Hi tadad1

thanks for your advice but did not work. I downloaded the dump.bin but i continue to get a white screen. I can still use it as usb drive. can you also tell me the function of the batchproduct.exe and remoteupdate.exe and also perhaps advise me on a different firmware. can you also tell me the difference between files with extensions .bin and .fw.

thanks

Arnab

arnabdutta, BatchProduct is another version of Firmware upgrade utility that is used commercially for flashing up to 16 players at a time. I am not sure about remoteupdate but think it may be for use with several computers linked to increase the number of players that can be connected.

I also have a player that is similar to yours but silver and have uploaded the full version firmware HERE

Also check the mini CD that came with your player mine had a copy of my firmware on it.

Hi tadad1,

I killed my player with the cd that came with the pack. Also it contained a trojan, so i am a pensive about using it. I will download the second file you have suggested and get back to you.

Thanks once again

arnabdutta, If your player is detected by the MP3 Upgrade Tool then you should only have to flash your player with a backup dump.bin. If your player is in recovery mode after shorting the chip then you need to flash twice, once with a full version firmware and once with the correct backup dump for your player.
