4GB Samsung 631 (2gb sticker) ATJ2085H dump won't load

I used the s1fwx to backup my firmware before trying other firmwares for my mp4, And now i can't upload it back to the player, I think maybe it just a partial backup or something.....
none of the 30+ firmware i've tried bring the player to show any picture on his screen, Only one firmware turn on the screen but no picture.....
If i buy a new machine exactly like it, What tool can i use to backup the FULL firmware of it to transfer it to the "dead" machine ?
Any one has the same chipsets ?

fish72,
It is not possible to extract a full version firmware.
Have you repaired your backup dump.bin with the repair.bat in s1fwx?
Try connecting to a different usb port and uninstall then reinstall Mp3 Player Utilities.

I've repaired the dump file, But it say that the file is curropt.
i managed to upload a later firmware after reinstall of the mp3 tools, But the player still does not work.Guess i'll need to keep waiting for a proper firmware.....
Meanwhile Thanks tadad1

What version of the the MP3 Player Utilities are you using?

I use ver 3.68 and that seems to work fine. I've found that on the 4.03 version, sometimes it displays the firmware version INCORRECTLY as 3.2.11.

You will probably need the FULL FIRMWARE from our [Full Firmware] download section first to flash your player. Then format your player and reload your backed up dump.bin file afterwards.

Try that and see what happens.

Good luck and let me know of the result as well.

Re: 4GB Samsung 631 (2gb sticker) ATJ2085H dump won't load

I've tried flashing all the full firmware from the site, But none of them let me see any picture on my player (The SA-609A and B) Are the only one that turn the light on my screen but no picture), So i never went to format the player after that.
Is it possible not to see any picture after full firmware flashing and then format and reinstalling the dump file ?

If your player is recognised through Windows after flashing with the full firmware, then you should definately try formatting it straight after then flashing it again, this time with your ORIGINAL backup firmware.

As i recall it is regonised as an Mass Storage Usb device, But i can't access data on it and it needs to be formatted. Do you recommend to format it ?

Thank you
