i have a dead player. how do i have to to the format correctly to put new firmware. If i try to to the full format it says me that "not supporting this type disk". and i have half memeory left of 4 gb.

how do i get rid of F disk what i even cant use beacouse i dont even have it.( i dont know how it got there)

and how can i change the G (disk for mp4 player) back to F again without loosing memory.

how do i get my memory back?

Backup your data to another source before formatting.

Using the Disk Tool, go to the Partition and Encrypt tab and set the slider to maximum (ie right) 1st and format. You should be able to format it and avoid the error.
Now run Disk Tool again, go to the same Partition and Encrypt tab and set the slider to minumum (ie left) and format again. Now the additional F-drive would recombine into your original drive.

But be prepared as you might not get 4GB, seems like all 4GB players are hacked memory chips. My 4GB turned out to be 2GB.

It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

dekart, Is your player working or dead. If your player is working go to the settings menu and make sure the "Online Mode" setting is set to "Normal Only" this should take care of the 2 drives you are seeing.

I had the same problem last week of the 2 drives, setting to online mode only allowed windows to display as a single drive, but the memory itself still had that 2 partitions (actual and raw).

The process of formatting with the slider at max and then formatting the second time with the slider at min removes that raw drive without setting the online mode.

But i guess it doesn't really matter much since the raw drive is 0bytes anyway.
