Hello to everyone,

I am new here. I have a ipod nano chinese clone. 1.5" screen my main problem is board haven't any ID. Only write a 2006. Anything is same as other players.

Chip : ATJ2085H
Memory : Samsung 625 [strike:147afd0c34]K9K8008U9A[/strike:147afd0c34] Correction Chip number is : Samsung 625 - K9K8G08UDA
With FM radio feature.

One day device is locked by sand clock and never opened.

I have a little research in the net and i found this and other forums and i am using dead recovery guides step by step. Now i FW ed 3.2.16 and the device is recognized by XP a removable drive. But never opened.

Anyone help me please. I try all of the firmwares somes are accepteble somes are not. My best solution is 3.2.16 device recognized by removable drive. I am stuck this step.

Thanks alot and sorry for my bad english.

P.S. : Real memory size is 512 MB. And Screen is dark blue

kuzgun, You are doing nothing wrong you just have not found a compatible firmware for your player. I have noticed that some firmware that shows as 3.2.16 on the player will show as 3.5.35 or 3.5.37 with s1fwx. If you have tried all the 3.2.16 you can find I suggest that you try some of the others.

tadad1,

I make a little development

I found a 2 GB one to my friend. Absolutely same player because we are buying together. It says ACTS16D_37 2006/04/14 3.5.37-001 i am loaded 3.5.37 fw in Download section. Player is detecting ADFU right now. I make a dump from my friends player. And run the repair.bat but when i am try to loading the dump different versions of MP3 player tools it make a error message invalid firmware upgrade or open firmware file bla bla.

What can i do in this case.

Thanks.

kuzgun, A firmware dump is not a full firmware it is missing 10-12 files. It is not possible to extract a full dump.
When your player is in recovery mode it will not accept a dump file you must load a Full Version Firmware. It does not have to be the exact one for your player but it contains the files needed so that you can then load your dump.

You will find some Full Firmware HERE .

Just to be sure you understand you have to load your friends dump firmware in 2 stages.

1. Load a full version firmware to your player and wait till it reboots.
2. Load your friend dump to your player.

Sometimes you may need to format your player between 1 & 2.

If his firmware is right your player should work ok.
Try using a full firmware that has the same version number as your dump.
You may also have to try a couple.

hello again,

It won't work yet.

1. Is this a must thing when you upload a full firmware windows can detect the device removable media or a ADFU device. (When i am load the 3.5.37 device always detected by ADFU device).

2. Only 3.2.16 FW upgrade has a result of removable media, but when i formatted it appr. 500 MB of the capacity is full its normal 2nd or 3rd format.

3. When i try to upload a Dump bin i get a flash error or invalid firmware error.

4. The chip in the player is Samsung K9K8G08UDA it must be 1 GB but windows detected it 512 MB removable device is it normal.

Finally i don't get any result right now.

Thanks for your helps.

kuzgun, When the player is detected as an ADFU Device it is in Recovery Mode. When you open the MP3 Player Upgrade tool you should get a message that your player is in recovery mode. When it is in recovery mode you can not load a dump the player will not accept it, only a full version can be loaded.
Then your player will reboot and be recognised as a USB Device and you can then load your dump.

Thanks for detailed info tadad1.

I get the point clearly, my problem is any 3.5.37 FW don't get the device in USB mode.

I get the ADFU mode when loading a full FW. In this case loaded FW is not correct FW right. If i found a correct full FW device must be detected a USB storage device.

kuzgun, That is right in theory but you should not limit your self to only 3.5.37 Full versions as quite often 3.5.35 or 3.2.16 may work for you.
