"VOIP is locked, need update it."
 

Hi, I just bought a 1 gig mp4 player. After a couple of days of using it I noticed a message that keeps popping up when I turn it on. "VOIP is locked need update it."

I tried everything to formatting it again and again but still the message keeps popping up when I turn the mp4 player on. I tried to upgrade the firm ware but I keep getting errors as well. There is an option for firmware upgrade from the menu, which I tried but did not work, the computer gives a pop up saying USB not recognized. I'm using windows xp so the drivers for the usb should be ok. I even tried downloading usb drivers for windows xp for the heck of it but still it did not work.

Can anyone help me? :evil:

Seems like the other person didn't manage to solve it, it still appears after many attempts to remove it.

Yes, lattesurf, I read the thread already hoping that there is an actual work around for it. This problem won't have any complications for my mp4, would it? Thanks

tankertiong77, does your player have the VOIP function? If so, you can try using the VOIP enabled full firmware mentioned in the thread. But bear in mind that it might kill your player as it might not be compatible with your player.

If your player does not have VOIP function, i would suggest going back to your seller and get an exchange.
