Default Fat32 and Fat

hey
im facing a huge problem with a mp4.It is not mine.one of my friend bought it.after purchasing the mp4 she has used it only for one day.then she has accidently formatted the drive with fat32 system and then the player doesnt work anymore.a blue screen and a waiting sign arises on the mp4.then i have upgraded the firmware with the version 3.5.37.now the pc detects the player.it shows two drives.one contains 8gb space and another 3mb.the 3mb storage is a fat sile systemed storage and the 8 gb is fat 32.i can copy songs to the drive.but i cannt play those.when i turn on the player a black screen arises.
on the manual of the player they wrote that it only supports fat not fat32.
there was also written that if i convert it to fat32 then there is also a way to come back to the fat system.but they didnt wrote how.
now plz anyone can help me to recover the player??

You can try formatting with the MP3 Utitilies Disk Tool or HP Format Tool from the download section.

Is the player still working now? Is the firmware you upgraded extracted from your player or someone elses?

You mentioned that when you turn on it, there is a black screen. It might be that you upgraded with an incompatible firmware. But try formatting with the tools mentioned above and follow up on this.

ahsanbhai, If your player is an 8GB player it is hacked so it may give you problems formatting it. Try using the Windows Disk Manager to format it by right clicking on My Computer, choose Manage, go to Disk Manager, right click on your player and choose format Fat. You will find once you manage to format in FAT that the true size of your chip will show.
To check the chips true size you will need to open the player and check the memory chip details against this list HERE ,

Unfortunatly reloading firmware has lost any guarantee you may have had so your only chance of recovery is to try other firmware till you find one compatible with your player.

ahsanbhai

So the screen is just really light? You mean like the contrast is too high or low on it?

If that is the case, then you can use "Firmware Modifer" from the [Downloads] section to change your firmware and increase or decrease the contrast level.

If that's not it, write more about your 'lazy screen'.

Hope that helps.

I dont think that it is the problem of the contrast related thing. The LCD screen looks like a greenish screen where u cant read anything, thats for sure .
I can listen the songs by pressing the menu key twice.even i cant see any folders.and i dont know abt the original sound quality abt the player, but right now the sound is very low.if u stay in a crowed place then surely u cant hear the sound of the player.I have increased the volume but the highest volume seems to me very low.I think this is the problem of the firmware.i need the original fw of Hynix HY27UF081G2M .can u plz give me the link for downloading the fw?

ahsanbhai, you will need to provide more details of your player (board number, processor number, lcd number, etc) so that some one with a similiar player with yours could help you by sending you their firmware or link.
The Hynix HY27UF081G2M is the memory chip.
You are almost there, you just need the compatible firmware to get everything working back in order.

ahsanbhai, Sorry but it is not possible to tell you what firmware you need. The chip number is meaningless other than to say that your player has a 128MB chip. The firmware needs to match your LCD size and type, the mainboard specifications, button configuration, cpu chipset, radio chip if you have one etc ..... the memory chip is possibly the least important factor.
The problem is that like you most people do not know all this information they just know they have a 1GB black nano clone with a 1.5 screen and the firmware version is 3.5.37.
Your only option is to keep trying random firmware for your screen size until you find one that works. I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news but there is no quick fix for your problem.
