[solved ] eBay Mp4 nano clone (4GB) firmware wanted
 

Hello guys I posted this before in this fourm but haven't got any reply so I'm reposting it hope someone can see and help

Hello every one .
My 1st post here and I need help
Weeks ago I bought an MP4 from eBay ( look at the picture on the left ) , It suppose to be 4GB , but later I found it is only 1.9 GB .
However a week ago I bought another one ( look at the picture on the right ) , It suppose to be 4GB , but later I found it is only 1.9 GB as well

They look almost the same but they are not .

I liked the firmware of the new MP4 Player , Hence they look almost the same ( at the beginning I did not notice the differences ) I wanted to update the old device firmware .

However after I did , the old device is just giving me blue screen ( see the pic ) and I don't have a backup of it's original firmware , My Windows XP detect the device as a removable device ..

I tried every firmware in this forum ( full and dump ) but nothing works for me .
I even tried tadad1's "Dead Player Recovery Guide. " but it doesn't work for me ( the windows detect it as usb mass drive 1.9 GB ) I formatted it many times .. but nothing happened , two days now , and I'm still trying :(

I remember the MP3 update tools showed the version was 3.5.37
and the new one is 3.5.35 ( but I like it ) .
I appreciate if someone has the right firmware or any idea that might help

What MP3 Player Utilities version are you using to flash the firmware on your player?

I've found there are sometimes problems with other versions and that version 3.68 is the best to use with firmware updates.

Hi Admin
I'm using RdiskUpdate.exe 1, 0, 0, 1 and I doubt it . ( it always says the firmware is 3.5.35
I was just about to ask if there is a better software to flash my MP4 and the download link ( where to download version 3.68 )

I never ever seen such a bad site http://rapidshare.de about one hour now and still cannot download the file for fake unbelievable reasons ( sometimes some one from your IP is downloading the file .. another time session expire and it says I have reached my limit ) GRRRR never ever seen such a site , They better say no free download .. :evil: :evil:

To save time can some one tell me the verstion of " MP3 Player Upgrade Tool" that comes with "MP3 Utilities v3.68 "
my "" MP3 Player Upgrade Tool" is 1, 0, 0, 1 ( the file name is RdiskUpdate.exe)

rad, I know how frustrating RapidShare can be, I saw another member refer to it as RapidShit which suits it better I think. Hopfully as MyMPxPlayer.org receives more support from sponsors and donations we will be able to start storing the files back on site again. I have also uploaded a copy to SendSpace HERE which is a little more user friendly but will only store the file for 7 days.

Admin was correct the "MP3 Utilities v3.68 " is the way to go

mine was "MP3 Utilities v3.70 " I think it is crap :mrgreen:
