Default Broke, Dead, and all of the above!

I have this player right here:
Click the image to open in full size.

And I used it for about 3 weeks. After that three weeks all of a sudden it just stopped turning on. I would have to beat it on my hand to get it to turn on. Now its just dead. It had a line in the screen like it was glitchin.

When I plug it into the computer it will not be detected by the computer. All it says is computer found new hardware. It finds it and nothing shows up in my computer.

What do you guys think I should do to fix this?

Thank You!

gta3dude, it seems to me that it is like a hardware problem. Some loose connection or cracked/broken solder, as you mentioned that you need to hit a few times to turn it on.

You might want to open the player up, and visually check for any loose connections on both sides of the board, switch, keypad, everything. And if you do find it, either solder it back, or get some help from someone (eg handphone repair shops).

Why are clones called MP4 Players, when they don`t play .MP4 at all?
It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.
