Nano clone help needed please
 

Hi folks, GREAT site. i'd have SMASHED up my nano clone so far if you folks weren't here. Appreciated you may well have answered this problem allready a million times... if so please point me to the correct thread, Hope you can help im going mad!

Anyone... bought a "4" gig nano clone on ebay for £38 quid and received in good time. Plugged it in and it would charge but not connect to the PC.... searched about this forum and found the pins in my USB AND player to be slightly bent which i fixed with a bit of gentle unbending.

Now my nano clone will connect to my PC as a USB device and charge but i cannot actually load anything on to it or see anyhting thats already on it. Windows gives me the message "Device not formatted, do yo uwant to format now?" to which YES gives me... "unable to complete format". Also the cra* disktool wont actually find my player.

Any ideas anyone ??? PLEASE help!! A 40 quid nanoclone FM RADIO is not fun at all!!!

homegrownpushbikes, Sounds like you may have a data line still out. You might be better off trying to find another usb cable.

Yo- cheers for posting back.. do you know if i can get them from Maplin/Ebay/anywhere?

Any other fixes anyone?

Ive contacted my seller and he's offered to send a new cable..ive also approached him about offering a replacement player.... im hoping he's gonna be generous.
