Default Only blue screen, no connection!!!

Hi

I wanted to updgrade my player's firmware (3.5.35 to 3.5.37), but it was a wrong idea...
First I've downloaded s1fwx to create a backup file and I did it without any problem!
I've downloaded another firmware from my other player (black nano clone) which has 3.5.37 firmware, and tried to upgrade the old firmware.
MP3 upgrade tool said "not correct firmware" and it coudn't upgrade it!
Now if I power up the player, I only see a blue screen, and I can't fix it!
If I connected, all the programs say device not connected, windows don't see it as an usb drive, everything say it is'nt connected!
I have the original backup file, but i can't upload it because it not connected!
Any idea????
Sorry for my bad english!

JanoH, It sounds like you may not have repaired your firmware. You need to put it into the s1fwx folder and make sure it is named dump.bin then run the repair.bat, it should then upload.

Thanks for your quick answer!
I've already tried this, the dump.bin file is in the s1fwx folder, but I get this message if I run the repair.bat :

repair dumped firmware file...
backup file to 'dump.bi$'...
try to repair firmware...
error: repairing file failed

JanoH,
Ok that generally means it has been repaired already. If your player is not being found by the upgade tool you are going to have to reset the player by shorting the memory chip then loading a full version firmware followed by your dump. Have a read of the Dead Player Recovery Guide HERE so you know what you need to do.

JanoH, does your player hang at the voip message screen?
Also, does your player have voip function?

If yes to both, you may have flashed in a non-compatible firmware for the voip function. There is a voip enabled firmware HERE.

However, if it does not hang at the voip message screen or you don't have the voip function, i would suggest that you leave it as it is. There was a recent thread about this voip message and seems that there is no solution here.

I think the problem is the wrong fw file which I've downloaded from the site!
Is it good if I extract my dump.bin, and flash with the extracted fw file?

JanoH, you could try the extract, repair and re-flash method you mentioned, hopefully it does help. But chances it probably won't make any difference. But no harm trying.
