I understand that is a real 2 Gb and a virtual 4 gb because of Samsung K9WAG08U1A. SAMSUNG 634.

Is it possible to reactiv 4 Gb?.
Is there a firmware compatible with my unit?

Thanks for answer

ecastor, I have not heard of anyone re-applying the hack once it has been removed, in my opinion you are better off without it as it will continue to give you problems . It is pretty much impossible to point you to a firmware that is specific to your player as most are uploaded without much info on player specs as most people only have to open their players once they have killed them.

Witch kind of information is necessary to identify compatible firmware ?

I have poste photo and harware component list in previous mail.

I have asked to different member of Ebay who have buy the same product to send me backup of their firmware. I hope i receive One to restart my Unit.

Thanks for yor recovery Guide.

I load firmware in this site if i receive It. My unit is coming from EBAYER factory2you.

It could be interesting to order firmware list with name of provider (just a suggestion)

ecastor, Important things are the mainboard number, screen type, and chipset, but the commponents change within the players so quickly that some times even this information is not always helpful.
If you do not have any luck with your ebay buyers you will just have to keep trying random firmware till you strike one that works for you.

Good Luck man I hope you get it going again.

You are right the firmware uploaded to site would be helpful if it had more information attached but if the upload process gets to complicated people stop uploading.

I have found a ebayer with exactly the same product. He send me a dump file from his device.

I try to download, but it's dosen't work, Black screen with this firmware (Sometime blue with other firmware)

I try to restart in recovery mode and donwload directly this firmware. I have an error message from upgrade tool.

Is there a method to extract or built a firmware comptatible for recovery mode.

Thanks

ecastor, In recovery mode the player will not accept a dump as there are 10-12 files missing. It is not possible to extract a full firmware forrecovery but it is possible to merge a full version and a dump to turn a dump into a full version using s1fwx.

To create a merge.bat copy the red text to note pad and save as a text file then renam Merge.bat.

@echo off
::make script from full.bin to recompile from
s1fwx s full.bin > merge.script
::extract files from the full.bin
s1fwx x full.bin
::extract files from dump.bin overwriting files extracted from full.bin
s1fwx x dump.bin
::rebuild full firmware with files from dump.bin included
s1fwx a merged.bin:afi < merge.script
::delete surplus files
for %%t in (dump full merged) do ren %%t.bin *.bak
for %%t in (script ap fw bin bi$) do del *.%%t
ren *.bak *.bin

Place it in the s1fwx folder. You need a full version firmware named full.bin and your repaired dump named dump.bin. Then just run the merge bat and the files within the dump will be copied to the full version and any files the same will be overwritten. The result will be called merged.bin.

It does not always work but you have about a 50/50 chance. If you have no luck try a different full version for the merge.
