benfromhell , is your player currently reconisged by your computer? If not, you will need to follow the Dead Player Recovery steps HERE.

If your player is still reconigsed by your computer, then you will need to try random firmwares in the downloads section, and hopefully one works for your player.

i can makeir work by touching the pins and stuff but now my head hurts cuz i had all day looking for the firmware but i can't find it, that's the main problem

i guess my problem was not to make a backup, i had problems cuz the extract.bat file didn't wanted to open saying "another program is currently using the file" and the hole backup things didn't worked for me, maybe some day i will find my beloved firmware, i'll be waiting here hahaha

Re: need firmware ATJ2085I

There is no fixed location for shorting of the pins, everything is random in the Dead Player Recovery.
Once you get the player detected by your computer, you will be in recovery mode, and you need to upload a new Full Firmware and get it detected as a USB drive.
Now the player can be detected by the Mp3 Upgrade Tool, and now you need to upload a random dump firmware to try to get your player working.
Both these firmwares can be found in the downloads section, they may or may not work.
But if you are patient to try every different combination of Full and Dump firmwares, you have a better chance of recovering your player.

Good luck
