I would need this firmware to try to recover my player.
The FM tuner is not working anymore.
It is the new black player : 2GB / 2" / CTW500 chipset / 9.0.43 Firmware

I thought maybe if admins already have this one (because of the contest prize), they could upload the firmware ?!
zxspectrum, Unfortunatly at present it is not possible to make a usable backup of the 9.0.43 firmware. The extraction program s1fwx will extract the firmware but it can not repair it so the backup is not able to be loaded to a player. You would need to get a copy of the full version firmware form your supplier or return your player for repair or replacement.

zxspectrum, It may sound silly but try formatting the player, I know this somtimes fixes hard error problems in record. As "lattesurf" mentioned in your first post it could be a problem with your radio chip.

In fact, yesterday the FM tuner stopped working, and just after that all was responding very strangely with odd behaviour from the whole player (scrambled display, impossible to play MP3 files, etc.)
I then formated it (FAT) and all went back fine, except FM tuner...
So, yes, I already contacted the Ebay Seller, but not sure I will get an answer (
