Groovy

Does your player get detected by Windows as a drive?

Also, what firmware have you tried? If your player is in recovery mode, it's best you use a full firmware. You can find a lot of full firmwares from the "Downloads" --> "firmware" --> "Full Firmware" section. Unfortunately as you don't have a backup, you will have to keep trying until you find a firmware that is compatible with your player.

tadad1 22nd Oct 2006 4:56 pm

Groovy, If when you start the upgrade utility you get a message that your player is in recovery mode you need to use a full version firmware, it most likely will not recover your player but it will prepare it so that you can then try backups or dump.bin files.
Then you just need to go through and try all the firmware you can find until you find one that suites your player.
If your player stops being recognised then you need to follow the Dead Player recovery Guide to do a hard reset, load a full version firmware again then continue trying dumps.

Just looking at your photo's your hacked player is really only a 2GB, the memory chip K9WAG08U1A (16GigaBit) = 2GB.

Groovy 22nd Oct 2006 9:42 pm

Hah But I put there 4GB ;)

 I tried all your full firmware and it does make the same all the time...
Noe thw windows do not recognise the player so I will follow the manual again... :(

tadad1 22nd Oct 2006 10:30 pm

Groovy, After you load a full firmware are you able to load dump files?

Groovy 23rd Oct 2006 7:28 am

After I made the conection between pins it makes - b--bi and it is that -adfu device... I am tring to put there all full firmwares I found but if I upload it... it makes the same... and aain recovery mode and sometimes it writes - Device wasn t recognised and I have to open it again and it wirks then...

Groovy 23rd Oct 2006 10:35 am

HEY I found that ID number :)) so I downloaded that firm... it is : ATJ2051H

But still if I run it it is recovery and if i open any firmware it writes version 3.2.21 or smthng like that and producer : Wilson... it does it for all the Firmwares... Shit happens ;)

Hi Groovy

been looking for same firmware check out my thread titled Firmware for NANO clone ATJ2051, samsung 634 2gb

If you find firmware that works please let me know

I think more and more members will be looking for the same firmware as this guy is selling about 30 of these a day on EBAY

Groovy 25th Oct 2006 1:13 pm

HEY GUYS I really need you to help me out... !!!
Can you tell me why it says recovery mode every time I put there a firmware ?
And why it is alwayes showing that I upload the same firmware if it is absolutely not true ???

pls I need it !!

tadad1 25th Oct 2006 2:52 pm

Groovy, Sometimes the upgrade utility gets hung up, try uninstalling Mp3 Player utilities and then reinstall a different version then connect your player to a different USB port.

Re: New Mp4 dead

Try this.
-Download this http://webserver.sanet.ge/knight/Mp4...iskUpdate4.rar
-Run it
-Wait...
-Show path to you firware
-Recover
-Run Mp3 upgrade tool
-Show path to you firware
-Upgrade
Is everything is ok?

I tried to re-install Rdisk but it still does the same.

tadad1 26th Oct 2006 9:17 pm

Groovy, Try formatting the player before you upload the dump.

Groovy 28th Oct 2006 10:22 am

Groovy 28th Oct 2006 3:18 pm

HEY !!!! I know my mistake i did... I had full firm even if it did the blue screen...
Now it is detedcted in explorer, I can detect it and I formated it for 1.90 GB :P... Well ok... Now I ve just tried all dumps on this page.. I am gonna continue ;)

tadad1 28th Oct 2006 3:29 pm

Groovy, I was just reading back in your post and you mentioned that your player has an ATJ2051 chipset, this may be a problem for you because most of these players use the ATJ2085 chipset so finding the right firmware is not going to be easy. I do not think we have any firmware for this model chip in the download section.
The ATJ2051 was generally used on pen drive mp3 players with small liquid crystal display.

EDITED: Sorry for this message, I didn't realized that this problem was allready resolved xD I'm a bit tired :P

Try with other MP3 Player Utilities version as tadad1 said, it might work..

The same happened to me once (the player wouldn't upgrade from the last firmware I installed [it was a corrupted one])
I was desperate.. but when I installed another version of the program the player updated without problems!

EDITED: Sorry for this message, I didn't realized that this problem was allready resolved xD I'm a bit tired :P

Re: Mp4 dead & Looking for firmware ATJ2051H

Hi Kivin,

a link to your firmware would be great so we can at least try it.
The player I bought with the AJT2051 chip was from EBAY member mp3_exp.
This was a 1.5" screen nano clone sold as 4GB but was really 2GB.
