Default Correct firmware but still blue screen

Hi team

I have a dead Mp3 player (blue screen) with firmware ver 3.5.37, I´m sure this is the correct firmware, due to I have another one . I can see in Windows explorer my mp3 and the files in it. I downloaded the firmware to the dead player , but I have blue screen again.
How can i detect if my problem is hardware and when the problem is software?
I have used MP3 player firmware upgrading tool ver 1.47 and 4.0

Thanks

acastanop , the version 3.5.37 is not accurate at all. There could be 1000 versions of 3.5.37, nobody knows. What's more, different manufacturer also uses the same 3.5.37 version number, but with different components in the players.
Your problem now is that you have yet to locate a compatible firmware for your player. You'll need to try various firmware dump files in the downloads section.

It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

T39 doesn''t sound as good as my T29

acastanop, Same seller, same player may be meaningless. I recall reading a post from a member who bought 5 identical players at once from the same seller and out of the five players he had 3 different firmware variations.

If you have been ripped off with a hacked player by a seller submit a report to www.ic3.gov
