"Sony" MP4 not working good

Hi Folks! Well, my friend bought a MP4 player a few months ago, but now it is not working well, first it wasn´t recognizing the batt, but this problem was solved. Then it was not recognizing music and at same time was impossible to acess it via PC, Windows ask to format it every time. It turns on normaly, but it says that the memory is empty. The F/W is original. What happens?

I am afraid you will have to go with it tto your shop and get the money back... this is really bad

But...can you explain to me how this could happen?

Kakoo, You may have a fault in your memory chip, Try using the MP3 Player Disk Tool and do a "Low" format. It is slow because it checks the memory for bad sectors.
