Default Off - On for 15 sec - Off - On for 15 sec... PLAYER DEAD?

hi everyone, i think my player is dead.
when i turn it on it shows a blue screen for a couple of seconds, then turns off and switches itself back on, gives the blue screen for some moments und turns off only to switch back on in an instant.

my computer obviously doesnt connect to the player anymore. i must have had a curript firmware file.

but anyways,

is my player dead, should i follow the steps in the DEAD PLAYER RECOVERY GUIDE? or is there another way to get my player working again?? maybe a way where i dont have to open my beauty?

many thanks in advance - ppowle!

ppowle, Sounds like firmware corruption. If your player is not recognised by the MP3 Upgrade tool then the only option I know of is to reset the chip as shown in the Dead Player Recovery Guide.

okay, thx to the guide i got my player back to life. but now i have got a problem again.

no matter what firmware i use with my mp4 it wont work, and i've tried many!

is there any way to find out what firmware i need to use? tools to find out chipset, memory and stuff?

or, does anyone by any chance have a firmware for this model:

YOu should first look for the code on your chip isnide your mp4. But man you can try...
If your player is recognised by PC, try the dump I ve used to recover mine :

ppowle , if you have tried all the firmware dumps and is still unable to get your recovered, i'll suggest that you try other FULL firmwares.

There might be more than 1 FULL firmware that would get your player back to ADFU state. Once you identify these FULL firmwares, try again with all the firmware dumps.

Sometimes, the FULL firmware and firmware dump combination needs to be right.

It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.
