samsung 625 atj2085w need firmware please help
 

Hi all,
i recently bought a mp4 player, but it turned out to have a small problem. When i connected the cable to recharge the battery it turned off after a few seconds and the battery didnt' get any juice. I figured a firmware update could solve this problem......so i did it but it just went dead(probably wrong fw)......and i didn't back up.....no .fw on the CD either. The device is recognized by windows as soon as it's connected to the PC but all i get from the player is a blue screen. I tried several firmwares, followed the recovery guide, but it seems i always installed the wrong fw. It seems to me that the device is constantly restarting after a few secs and a new windows explorer window pops up showing the contents of the flash memory. So IM STUCK please help anyone! HEEEELP :(

You are wuiete lucky... this firmware is quiete common so... try the download section and links....start with : www.s1mp3.org/en

Your only option really is to keep trying firmware till you find one that works with your player.

When charging your player did the USB connection screen show on your player when you connected it?
Did the player run ok while connected?
Did the battery icon animate when connected?

Yes the player worked just fine while connected to the PC, there was battery animation and everything, BUT the moment i left it alone it went off and didn't charge the battery. Do you think that i can find the fw i need in the download section on this site?? If anyone could send me a direct link to a firmware that works or could work, i'll be VERY gratefull!!

casper_mp_world, There are 100's of different firmware each specific to a players hardware and button configuration. It is not possible to tell you which one suits your player.

If you post a picture of your player and maybe a link to where you purchased it another member may have the same player and send you the firmware. Try also to get a copy from your supplier if possible.

And you can now upload firmwares ? Or there is some problem ?

yes, i can upload firmware, i can browse it with windows explorer and upload files, but i can't play them, cause I see only blue screen....

think this is not your firmware...
Look for atj2085w and you will find your dump file !!!

i already did that, but there are other parameters too. Besides the atj2085w there are samsung 625, the board : SRX - A7 and Samsung chip id : k9k8g08ua. Im not into all this stuff, so if you say only the ajt stuff is important, ill start tryin out all the atj dumps. :)

Casper I have a player with the exact two chips in it that you stated earlier. I have the SDK3.5.37 fw in mine try dloading a copy of that and install it.

avionik99, i've already tried numerous 3.5.37 versions, but nothing worked. Can you make a dump of your fw and post me a link, so i can download it and try it on my player. Thanks
