ayhack, There may be a connection problem with your memory chip, place a small piece of card on top of your memory chip and gently apply pressure while you upgrade the firmware.

ok the update was succesful but the screen is still black and i cant see my nano in "computer" as a drive, device or something like that...

what now?

ayhack, Does the MP3 Ugrade tool find your player when you start it or does it say no device detected?
If the upgrade tool does not detect your player you need to short the chip again then use a different Full version firmware. Once you have found a full version firmware that enables your player to be detected as a removable device then you can start trying dump firmware.
