Re: Not dead but little problem!

well, i hace System Setup:
1. Display Style ( 2 options)
2.Clock
3.LCD set (kinda colors)
4. Language
5.Power Off(sleeptime)
6.Replay mode
7.online mode
8.memory info
9.firmware version
10.firmware upgrade
11.exit

and in non of them was something about swtiching off screen in ... seconds. I am not stupid in computers and stuff like that, but i am confused because i cant find the problem but i found this forum and i hope that i will find the answer.

<edit> here is my firmware.. i hope. i did it first time so..

Re: Not dead but little problem!

Judini , is your player now useable? If not, you need to recover your player.
From the looks of it, the Upgrade Tool is working, so you need to try various firmware dumps until you get the right one that is useable.

Your initial problem of not able to off the screen is simply a player setting, nothing to do with the firmware.
The screen turning off can be set by going to:
Sys Tools >> LCD Set >> Darkle
Then set in seconds, the amount of idle time before the player off the screen.

Once you get your player back, never ever flash in another person's firmware! It's the fastest way to kill your player.

Re: Not dead but little problem!

you come tooo late :D stupid trader gave me instruction, but there nothing is readable :) thx 4 help.. now i have to get back my fw.

Judini 3rd Nov 2006 1:58 pm

Re: Not dead but little problem!

ooook... thx guys, now everything is ok. only one problem. i want to change some pics in dump.bin file, theme, and all that stuff, but he shows some error in the places where in other bin files are pictures.

lattesurf 3rd Nov 2006 3:40 pm

Re: Not dead but little problem!

Judini , you managed to recover your player?
If so, probably the firmware you flashed in might not be 100% compatible with your player. You might want to reskin the firmware for the missing/wrong images, there is a guide on the process Here.

Judini 3rd Nov 2006 3:47 pm

Re: Not dead but little problem!

well, i tried all firmware and i watch them through s1res.. noone of them was like mine. there is some mixed version.. i'm really pissed off for myself. i screwed all.

i hope that i will get the right firmware. now i got black screen instead of blue and i think it's because the themes are not the same. intro and outro is the same but other images are not the same.

Please, someone, look at the first post, there is image of my player. Place your firmware.

lattesurf 3rd Nov 2006 4:02 pm

Re: Not dead but little problem!

Judini , even if the theme looks different from your original player, you can still try those firmwares. You have nothing to lose and a better chance of recovering your player.
As long as your player can be detected by the Upgrade Tool, keep trying those firmwares for 1.8". Once it cannot be detected after a firmware update, you need to repeat the process of the Dead Player Recovery.
Many players look the same on the outside (casing, brand, even theme), but the firmware probably is very much different.
