When i connect my player to an USB, its recognized as an ADFU device. So, I tryed to change firmwire (with FULL firmwire file), and I when i run MP3 player upgrade tool it shows that is in recovery mode. So i choose firmware (any firmware), and when I hit "recover firmware" it says "flash memory protected", and every time same error shows on. I dont know what to do anymore... sry bout my bad english btw

cmon guys, help me, I am desperate :?

Fixxxer, I have lost count of the number of player I have recoverd but have never had this problem so unfortunatly have no experience in fixing the write protect issue. All the info I have been able to find I have passed on to you, at this stage I have found nothing new to add.

U want to say I am screwed than? :D
Meaby I failed to do that stuff with pins of the memory. Do I have to touch 2 or more of em or all 8 together or how? :?

Re: dead chinese MP4 (flash write protected - problem)

And can u please upload me firmware that works 100% on my player?

tadad1 5th Nov 2006 3:49 am

Fixxxer, No I just want you to know that you are not being ignored but I have no more ideas to throw at you.

My method of shorting the chip is a little differrent . I us a pair of metalic tweezers and cross the chip from side to side at the first pin and then drag the tweezers down all pins.
