Fixxxer, nobody in this forum is able to verify which firmware is compatible with which player, not you, not me, not the admin and moderator.
You might want to contact your seller and see if they have a some firmwares to send to you.

And while doing that u must connect it to the USB or what? What about battery? Should I unweld it again?
How many times do I have to cross down with tweezers?

tadad1 5th Nov 2006 4:12 am

Fixxxer, I leave the battery connected and have the player plugged into the usb. In most cases once is enough but occasionally I may have to repeat the process 2 or 3 times.

I flashed it while holding tweezers on the first 3 pins of each side. It succeded, my display went blue, but when i restarted it (ON/OFF), its black again and it goes to adfu mode again.
what now? :?

tadad1 5th Nov 2006 4:38 am

Fixxxer, It is supposed to go to ADFU Mode because you have reset the chip, Can you load a full version firmware to it though or is it still write protected?

Fixxxer 5th Nov 2006 5:04 am

It is still write protected. I can succesfully install new firmware but only when I am holding the tweezers on some combinations of pins. Problem is that its same like i havent installed the new firmware. The screen is black again, and its in adfu mode as usual...

Fixxxer,
Sorry I have run out of ideas, I am stumped as to why the chip has become write protected.

What happens if you go into device manager select the ADFU device and try to install it as a usb mass storage device.
