Dead player doesn't start and explorer shows only 108MB

Hi @ll,

I have bought a clone MP4 in China and now I have the big problem.
I tried to repair it with the DEAD Player Guide but I can't get it to start.

The farest I could get is that the screen gets light and the pc does recognice a 108MB Harddisk.
Normally it should habe 8GB.

Here the detaily I can find:

It is a white Player which says on the front
MP4/AMV/REC/FM
iPod

Inside on the ships it has got:
ATJ2085W

On anotherone:
hynix KOR
HY27UF081G2M
TPCB 626A

I tried this Firmware: 3.5.37v2.1b, 3.2.13, 3.5.35

I hope to get some help :(

Many thanks

Stefan

Re: Dead player doesn't start and explorer shows only 108MB

I'm really sorry, but this chip (HY27UF081G2M) is a 128mb one

Check this two links:

http://www.mympxplayer.org/hacked-4-...yer-vt839.html
http://www.mympxplayer.org/hacked-pl...ay-vt1883.html

It's imposible to have an 8GB player, the chip was hacked so that the computer would show that the device had that amount of memory. When you tried to repair it with the Dead Player Guide, the memory may have "lost" the hack, that's why now you are seeing a 128mb player..

What you should do now, is to try every firmware you see in the website, in order to get your player working..
If I were you I would firstly ask the seller a refund and see which is his answer..

Good luck!

Hi there,

I read the info about the hacked players.
And it's really not possible that I just formatted wrong?

Well, apart from this I loaded the 3.5.35 and I can see a menu on the screen but only very very very dark.

Where can I find more dumps to test?

Thank you for your help.

Stefan

Yes it is possible but it is only 128mb... I am sorry ;)
HY27UF081G2M (1Gb - 128MB)

And more dumps are in downloads -> firmwares ->
Try them ;)

Hope it helps.
