how to use md5 file
 
i don't know this file is use for?and by the way when i reupgrade my player it is always sucessful but my player's still black,it hasn't any signal.What should i do?

geni , MD5 files are hash files, used for comparing file checksums. You probably won't be needing it for recovering your player.

The upgrade shows successful as the firmware files has been copied into the player ROM. The successful does not mean that your player will work. You'll need to try various firmwares in the downloads section to recover your player.

thank you,But i still have some problem.I've tried many firmware,and now my player can connect to my computer,nut when i click it,i need to format but when i try to format it,a promt that i my player is write protect so i can't format it!could u give some counsel?thanks for answer me

by the way my player hasn't got hold switch.

geni , try formatting your player with the MP3 Utilities Disk Tool (which you would have already installed) and/or HP Format Tool Here first.
See if you still get the write protect error or not.

If it still persists, try using Product Tool Here to flash in the firmware to your player.

If this still does not work, Here is another thread that discusses about disabling the write protect through registry editting.

one more thing,at first the memory of player is 241mb,after i reupgrade,now memory is 245mb(how strange it is!)
