blink18273, If the player is new and under warrenty I suggest you seek a replacement. If replacement is not an option then you can try reloading the firmware, there is a guide to this in the Knowledge Base here
http://www.mympxplayer.org/how-to-up...ayer-vt46.html

Updating the firmware is quite simple however finding the right firmware is not and unless you have a backup of your original firmware you may have to try many different ones till you find one that works with your player.

If your player is not recognised by the MP3 Upgrade Tool then you will need to follow the Dead Player Recovery Guide here

Thanks, i have 2 more questions, how can i uncompress a .7z file, this extension is not recognized by the firmware upgrade tool, and the other question is, do you have a full firmware for a S1 MP3 Player, the firmware tool says that this is the device model

blink18273, You can use 7zip or winrar to extract .7z files. Re full firmware all these players are s1mp3 players but you will find a selection of full firmware here

hi again, i get my chpset numbers, do you know where i can found a firmware for a chip samsung 622 k9wag08uia ? Thanks.

tadad1 16th Nov 2006 8:40 pm

blink18273, That is your memory chip number, your main chip will be smaller and possibly marked ATJ2085*.
Unfortunatly it does not help terribly much as there are still 100's of firmware for this chipset so you will just have to keep trying firmware till you find one that suits your player.

tadad1, i have the correct number of my board, is ATJ2085W, i think this is not common, do you know where can i find the firmware? Thanks.

tadad1 19th Nov 2006 2:37 pm

blink18273, That is quite a common chip version, have you tried all the firmware for your screen size in the download section.

i have adoubt about the size of the screen of my player, with a ruler the measurement is 1.2, i have the 3.5.35 and 3.5.37 only for screens 1.5 and 1.8, is possible to make a firmware 3.5.35 for a 1.2 screen?

one more question, what is the difference between a .fw file and a .bin file, when in need to load the first and when i need to load the bin file, i see this specs, the dump is not the same of the ACT_V3.5.35

Processor: ATJ2085W
Memory: 2GB Samsung 622 K9WAG08U1-A
Dump: 3.5.37
SC85051F
2006/04/25
ACT_V3.5.35

blink18273, Are you measuring your screen diagonally from corner to corner? I think that there may be a couple of 1.2 inch firmware, they were some of the first ones uploaded when the site started. Not sure if they are still their though.

.fw files are generally full version firmware from manufacturers and .bin files are usually firmware dumps. Full firmware can be in .bin format as well though.

Show us a picture of your player to check your screen size.

Thanks, more questions, when i need to repair the dump file, i put the player on recovery mode, i load the firmware 3.5.37 from the dld site, then i load a bin file, but how can i know what is the correct bin file or when i need extract a bin and repair?
