my player went dead after repartition from testdisk program

Hi,
Mp3/MP4 player has a Samsung 619 K9WAG08U1A chip. I ran teskdisk to remove the hack from the memory chip but when i did the Player just went blank. I tried to revive it by following the step to revive a dead player and everything seemed fine but the player still wont start up. Somehow i was able to partition the disk again so it does work as a flash drive, but the screen is doesnt come on and the player doesnt play music or anything. Can anybody help me with this?

orangecornelius , if you have a backup of your firmware, use it. If not, you will need to try various firmwares in the downloads section until you get the right one.

orangecornelius, What type of player do you have?
The only thing I can think of is you may have a Sunplus or Sigmatel chipset player. I have tested this process rigourously on 6 separate Action chipset players and have never had any firmware issues.
