Hi I recently bought a fake nano from china....1gb as they said...turned out to be 128mb..anyways..my firmware was 3.5.35 and i decided to upgrade it but my mp3 died...i revived it by short circuit..i can see the ADFU device connected..i tried downloading a few firmwares but they all failed....displaying the message: flash error .....can you please please please tell me how i can solve this and send me a working firmware version to catalinandreipopescu@gmail.com

my mp3 looks something like this:

but it has IPOD written instead of MP4.....help would very much be appreciated..

I have the same model as you.
It also mentioned Ipod on the cover.
Its fake memory shown 4GB but on the chip written "HY27UF08G2A". However, total disk space shown only 119 MB.
Actually, I'm ok with that memory.

What I need is the firmware to make it alive again, that's all.
Since now my PC known it as USB Drive.
