I need to update my firmware HELP ME

Hello every body. I need to update my mp4 player because is not workung well. When I treat to record voice the device goes to reset and music player only goes to 26 song and after start reset. I believe the problem is the firmware and I want to update it. Some body could tell me how? Thank you.

markitos04 , what i see is likely a hacked memory. i would suggest you formatting your player with MP3 Utilities Disk Tool first. The guide is Here.

Try it out and see if the player still resets.

Hi, I did the formatting procedure and my mp4 now has 108 mb and I bougth it as 2 Gb. May I recover memory space? If this is a hacked device it will have a solution or not? PLEASE Help ME!!!!!!

markitos04 , i'm afraid that there is nothing much you can do about the memory. As the memory chip was originally a 128MB hacked to show 2GB, you only physically have a 128MB chip.
To further verify, you can open the player and check the serial number of the largest chip against the manufacturer's website.

What i can suggest is to contact your seller and demand a full refund. As i'm sure you paid alot of money for a 2GB and ended up with a 128MB player.

Hi, lattesurf. Thnak you for your valuable support. I checked the serial number on the memory chip and this is HY27UF081G2M, and as to I can understand, the memory is of 1GB. I will take your recomendation and I will look for the seller because this is selling a lot of this mp4 kind.[/size]

markitos04 , from the Hynix datasheet, HY27UF081G2M is a 1Gigabit chip which approximately is about 128MB. Not a 1GigaByte chip.
