Default Can't get into ADFU mode

Hi. I've got a hacked 2Gb/4Gb nano clone that I've managed to screw up! It just shows a blue screen. XP detects it as 2 drives of 4Gb & 4Mb.

MP3 update tool says 'Unable to switch device mode'.

Following the Dead Player Recovery Guide (my MP4 looks identical internally to the one in the guide). Short pins and XP shows USB device. Try to load ADFU driver and XP says "Specified location does not contain info about your hardware".

Is there anything else I can try before throwing it in the bin? :-)

Regards

richard.

Ok. Used the Hacked Memory reformat procedure to get a single drive of 2Gb.

The actual msg from MP3 Updater tool is "Device switching failed, reconnect device please". Which I assume means it can't switch it into recovery mode.
