Default ATJ2097/CTW500, totally dead ?

After my upgrade to new version of firmware, right but not functional on my player, i can't get right USB connection and can't get ADFU mode. WinXP can't recognise right connection... "Dead Player Recovery" doesn't help me...

But player is partially functional, on display are color stripes, but playing MP3 and other functions is right...

Is this player totally dead ???

Jarda, Unless you can get the chip to reset by shorting it as shown in the recovery guide there is nothing much you can do to recover it. Try shorting the chip across from side to side. It is possible to reset the CTW500 as I have done it many times.

Reseting CTW500 chip or memory ? I tried all, without success... Player is restarting after this. WinXP is recognise "new hardware", but can't load right drivers... Is "talking" about wrong drivers... I think that I have right, I don't have others... This drivers are from last MP3 Player Utilities 4.05.

Jarda, Short the memory chip not the CTW500.
What driver are you trying to load?
If possible connect the player to a different usb port one you have not used the player on before.

O.K., this I did...

Drivers needed for ADFU mode (Adfuud.sys, AdfuUpdate.inf) which are installed automatically together with MP3 Player Utilities.

I tried other ports and other PC... Without success...
