Default Read/write error...check if device is connecting...


Read/write error...check if device is connecting...this is what i get when i try to reinstall my back-ed up dump.bin file. I firstly made a backup copy mf my FW...then i got a dead player...now i'm trying to reinstall dump.bin but i get the error message....what TO DO ?PLS REPLY THX!

Pissy , i thought in your earlier post you mentioned you did not make a firmware backup?

But anyway, did you repair the firmware dump?

Also, try other versions of the MP3 Utilities.

i just remembered i made a backup....i found it in the s1fwx folder.repair?how do u repair it and why ?

Pissy , do the method as broose had mentioned. Perform steps 1 to 15 in the guide. Then re-flash the repaired firmware dump into the player.

If you still get an error, try the following solutions:
1. try another USB cable
2. try other USB ports
3. try on another computer
4. uninstall and install other versions of MP3 Utilities.
