Default [solved] Disk error !!!! help me


I've a 1 GB black chinese IPOD.But now it shows "disk error" in every function I use except the FM.It shows 0% usage and 0% total space.I haven't made the firmware backup.It requires 9.0.48 (LSD_9101_11) firmware.What sud i do now??? help me

sachitmaskey , so is the player able to startup normally? Does the problem only occur as mentioned in your post?

If yes, try a format on your player first. The guide is Here.

If your player totally does not turn on at all, then you will need to perform the Dead Player Recovery Guide Here.

I've a chinese 1 GB IPOD.It is not dead but its functions are dead.The fm only works well but others features like mp3,games,amv etc
shows an error " disk error".I made a backup of the firmware after the prob occured and even reinstalled it but the prob wasn't solved.
It requires 9.0.48 firmware.Where do I get it?What should I do? Help me!

The MP4 starts normally and this prob has been occuring everytime I turn it on.

sachitmaskey, If you need 9.0.48 firmware the you have a problem as this version can not be backed up with s1fwx so there are no dumps available and no reports of full versions as yet.
This does not sound like a firmware problem to me anyway it sounds more like your memory chip has failed in which case there is nothing you can do to fix it without replacing the memory chip.
I suggest you get a replacement or refund if possible.

Problem solved

My problem is solved now n I thanks u all guys 4 makin it a success.I tried it to repair it since months n today i did it.I never gave up my hope n kept fightin n today i won it.U guys really helped me...

How i solved the prob:

I upgraded my mp4 with wrong firmware then black screen apeared then i followed dead player recovery process.After that i installed the right firmware that i used to.And Bingo !!! it's not virus or any format error it was firmware error.Thanks once agan...
