i have a player fake sony from china that i attempted to upgrade and failed. but then i downloaded the 3.5.37 fw and dump and i was able to partially recover it. it has only blue screen..no displays..


the odd thing is that, when i tried to load mp3 and tried to play it, it played..i also blindly looked for its recorder and tried to record, then i tried to play it, it also played..my fm also works, the music and voice recorder still worked..THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THERE ARE NO DISPLAY,ONLY BLUE SCREEN! IS THERE SOMEONE OUT THERE WHO CAN HELP ME RESTORE MY PLAYER'S DISPLAY?

scarface_vista, this is not so uncommon, if you view the screen from an angle you may even see faint menu icons etc.
You could try reinstalling the firmware with a few different versions of MP3 Player Utilities some have reported success by trying this.
The other thing is the firmware may be compatible with your mainboard and chipset but it is from a player with a different LCD type. If this is the case you could use something like EasyFW to swap the following files from a few different firmware:
UI_6B33S.DRV
UI_6B33T.DRV
UI_6B33L.DRV
These are display related drivers.

but ive tried every angle viewing my plyer's screen, i can see nothing,even fait icons..

but ill try to load other fw to my mp4..
