Default Hynix to samsung ant vice versa

hi,
I have nano like mp4 256mb hynix, after changing flash to 512 mb hynix - player can be recovered with no problem , bet if I solder samsung 1 gb nand flash - no chances to recover my player. Update is ending as sucesfull , but player can't boot . So my question is - for different flash types (samsung vs hynix) we need different firmware , or something else ?

thanks
BR

RolF2 , i totally agree with arviverona. It is important to check the original memory chip's pin layout. Things like the Package Type, Power Supply etc, are all important. If you replace with another chip with different layout or specifications, your player's processor is unable to "communicate" correctly with new memory chip.

It might be that the 2 chips you have are slightly different in layout, and happens that the firmware you tried fits the 512MB rather than your original 256MB.

So yes, most probably you will need a different firmware for memory chips of different manufacturers.

It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.
