can't load the Afduupdate.inf

Hi all

I am new here, I am definately a noob. I just got an MP4 player. I did something and flashed it. Make a long story short, I tried the dead mp4 guide. When I get to the Usb driver, I can't load the Afduupdate.inf. I keep getting the error message everyone else is getting. I have been up and down this forum trying to find an answer with no success. I've even tried three other computers and still get that message. Could someone please tell what is wrong and how can I bypass this error message. The error message reads specified location doesn't have info for hardware. something like that HELP.

Thank you

yellowjade, Try disconnecting the player from your PC. Count five or six pins in from either side of the chip using a pair of tweezers a bent paperclip what ever and connect the 2 points. Keeping the 2 points crossed connect your player to your PC. If all went well the new hardware window should open, now direct it to the adfuupdate.ini. Keep the points crossed until the driver is installed.
If this does not work you may have to disconnect one of the battery wires on your player and repeat the process.

Hi Tadad

Thank you for your guck response and your help. I dried those methods you said to do. I got them off of other posts that you replied to other people with. Unfortunately it didn't work for me. Is there any other recommendations you suggest that I can do to get my player back. :(

Thank you

Rightclick the adfuupdate.inf file and choose install. Restart computer, maybe it works.
