trishle , you have killed your player by upgrading with an incompatible firmware. What you need to do now is perform the Dead Player Recovery found Here.

Regarding the memory, it is a hacked chip. There are currently no 4GB players. These players can only support a maximum of only 2GB, and your player is likely a 1GB hacked to show 4GB.
i'll suggest you contact your seller for a refund.

It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

trishle, The firmware you have used is not fully suited to your player. There is no foolproof way to tell what firmware is going to recover your player, it is really just a matter of trial and error until you find the right one.
If your player was using 9.0.XX version firmware then your chances of a full recovery are not great as their are not many of this version available.
If it was using a 3.5.XX series firmware then you have a much better chance as there are more for you to try.
I suggest you start downloading as many firmware that suit your players screen size and 1 by 1 try loading them.

i also recommend that before you re upload a new firmware..since your player is now "half working"... it is sometimes the version of the upgrade utlity try. 4.05 or higher..because i had a problem with 4.04 when my player went dead..did you have your original dump? you want to upgrade it after your player went half working..it might recover your player fully...im not contradicting tatad1 instead im giving you more options..i hope i helped you trishle
