my 2" mp4 is not working..cannot write firmware for rec
 

my mp4 player is a 2" fake sony...it went dead when i accidentally upgraded the wrong firmware..when im trying to recover it i went to the step by step til i reached the adfu device recognition but when im trying to recover my player using my backup f/w file..the MP3 player utlity says read and write error...my player is currently dead..need help with the pros...tnx :cry:

arviverona, If the player is in ADFU recovery mode you need to load a full version firmware to your player your backup dump will not load untill a full version is loaded first.

If you have loaded a full version and your dump will not load be sure you repaired you backup after extraction or your player may need to be formatted to load the dump.

aah i see...i must get a full version..my chip is i think a samsung cjip and what kind of full version that i will use? my version is 9.0.43 wilson co. and 512 mega capacity...is it available or any alternatives? tnx for ur reply..tatad..i really need help

arviverona, Can you upload your firmware to www.uploaded.to and leave me a link so that I can download it. I will see what I can find for you.

i finally revived the plyer,,the computer recognized the device but the problem is i cannot see any image except a white background..and when i checked the firmware..there is a checksum error on the image files and when i checked it with the s1res 2.0 there is an error in the logo and no images on the other images like menu(in this menu images i can manage to import).. but still there are errors..but i will send you the firmware that revived my mp4 and my own backup dump...
the full version is the 9.0.43 2 inch firmware from the "full firmware section"

oh theres another problem a cannot import the ui30.res images..the s1res cannot import or preview the image

gee thanks man! thabk you a lot...you really helped a lot..thanks for the dump you just gave me! it worked but i used 4.05.. gee 4.04 (which ive been using all along) is not working properly..thanks a lot! im looking forward on helping others regarding on their mp4 players,,i owe it to you! :oops: :wink:

Hello!

I am Brazilian and are days that I am trying to repair my mp4 player.
I have a MP4 with chip ATJ2097H, 1gb memory Samsung 637 k9k8g08uom, 2" display and battery is YZX 3.7V / 4.2V 280mAh (Screenshot here) .
The player is in recovery mode and i no have backup of firmware.
What can I do?
I tried other firmware only that the screen is pure white :(.

hey phdjp1..post the complete info of your player please especially the board id so its easy to find a solution to that..

phdjp1, is your player at least recognized by the computer as a USB drive? or an ADFU? if it is recognized as a usb storage, then load the dump of your old mp4...or if you dont have any, show me a snapshot and size of the screen of your mp4..ok?
