i had in my hands a player with same chips (is my friend's player).
What kind of MENU images do you have? Take a look at my post

At 99% you will kill your player.
I think you need to have the exactly hardware, not only main processor and memory.
If your player is dead, you can make a try, maybe you are lucky!

download many firmwares and try them all :wink:

i have the player S1 MP4 PLAYER you could get the newest firmware 9.0.48 or not only if u know how to do [i dont :s]

MY player is the 1gb=20 Euro

I bought it by ebay.
have you that firmware version with my player info?

from which ebayer have U bought this MP4 player?
Look for someone that buyed a player from this seller, from his feedback list, and try to contact it. If that seller sell always the same player, you can let him to send you his dump of firmware and make your player live again!
I hope you could find right firmware soon.

when it says 4 gb i kinda mean "4GB" as no 1 has found 1 yet that is real.As they can apparently only take "2GB" of storage??!?>.
