About to get recovered , BUT !
 

hi
i've a chinese 1GB mp4 that i tried to update but i really damaged it. I followed all the recovery steps known for everyone but i finally came to a situation after which i can't do any other thing.

I restored it untill it became readable flash disk. I got a resemble mp4, extracted out the firmware by s1fwx, and tried to upload but the mp4 didn't work.

A friend told me that the firmware may not be full firmware and advised me to search 4 a proper one in this site. I already found a full firmware just like mine as in this picture.

When i open the mp3 upgrade utilities and browse 4 this firmware an error message appears :
( Not found win32hdll.dll )

Then an error message :
( Read or write device information failed! Please exit the program and check if device is connecting ).

Is my firmware i extracted valid ? or even the full firmware ? and if so what is the problem lying in ? and what is the difference between the firmware i extracted and the full firmware ?

first the "win32 dll" something might came from the upgrade tool itself..my advise is download here an MP3 utlity version 4.05..these will work fine..then the message that says "cannot read or write..." means the firmware is not an actual FULL version..if the firmware is a full version then it will continue to upgrade..

well try to install the tool i recommended then try to recover it with your said full firmware and if "cant read or write.." shows again you need a real FULL firmware.. tell me what happens next..
