What is firmware and what is it for. Do i need it for my glacier player?

astrosarehott, The firmware is the operating system of your player, like Windows is to your PC.
It is best not to try updating the firmware as it is the quickest way to kill your player and depending on what version firmware you have you may not be able to recover it.

i completely agree...unless you are prepared of what may happen or you are educated enough on all the processes that will lead you to success and lastly, you have the right stuff on your player...
