Player is not recognized on windows and Screen stay dark

Hello,
I've receive the player today and I've try to update the firmware

It's a 8GB with a little screen but when i've uploadf the new firmware all is Okay but the screen stay DARK but my computer recognise the player.

After I've try another firmware 9.00.43 and now my compter detect the player but can't install bu it doesn't find the drivers.


Can you help me for this ? How I can find the correctly driver. ?

And with witch firmware I must update the player for the screen switch ON ?

PS: I can't open the player because a lot of security void sticker is sticked! and If i've not solution maybe I try to resend it to china

you shoudnt have replaced your firmware if it is still working..besides it is new..you should have enjoyed it first..anyway so much for the lectures im just a 19 yr old ECE student...he3

if you still dont want to open your player, first, i want to ask you what the computer says about detecting your firmware? is it an ADFU device or a USB mass storage device..second i doubt that it is not an 8G plyer because i doubt it is an original ipod...

if your player is detected by windows as a ADFU device then follow the steps on the "dead player recovery" topic found on this forum then start on the step that the player is now an ADFU device... and if it is a mass USB device look for your original firmware version and let me know or anyone who wants to help you..it would be of great help and we will help you to find a right firmware for you to upgrade..ok?
