Well, guess what? I killed my player =) Who here hasn't, anyway? xD
It simply went blank a day when I disconnected it from my computer. I did the process the right way: using the "eject" option in Windows Explorer (I unfortunately use windows 98 ^^ ), and only disconnecting it from the USB cable after I saw it had left the "Online Mode" on its screen... It was all normal with it until I chose the "Music mode"... It simply turned off and on again, but when it turned on again, it kept displaying that annoying "Starting" message.... It was still working normally as a pen drive... The operational system could still recognize it... But the stupid smart ass here thought "Oh, there can't be anything else to lose, right? So, why not trying to upgrade its firmware?"
Well, it should be added as one of physics laws: "Whenever one try to upgrade an mp3's firmware, shit shall happen!" The fact is that I've upgraded it to a firmware version that wasn't compatible with it's board, and (Dammit!!) the operational system stopped recognizing it, and not even the "Starting" message would appear. Then I found that "Recovery guide" thing on the internet, I've done the short-circuit thing, and used the recovery mode to try new versions of firmware...
The shitty thing is that I couldn't find any full firmware that would work... I found one that made my operational system recognize it as a pendrive, and tried to upgrade it then with a dump file (that is supposed to be exactly the right one for my board) to see if it would work, but it seems that this dump file does not merge correctly with the full one that make it work as a pendrive, because when both are merged and loaded onto the mp3 it stops being recognized, and I have to use the short-circuit again. When my mp3 is loaded only with the full firmware, it's screen goes completely black, and, when I disconnect it from my computer it even shows for a second before powering off an icon like the ones that pop up when you turn a functioning mp3 off. But nothing else happens; if you try to turn it on, it doesn't work at all...
So, ok! What is the thing with the black screen?
I remember that the version I had in my mp3-player when it worked normally was the Wilson co.'s 3.5.35 version...
I don't know exactly which number you people use to recognize the board's number, because in the green board is written "A2081 v 3.2", and on a black chip upon this green board is written "Atj2051w"...
Just as a matter of facts, the dump file I got is for the A2081 v3.2 board, and the full file is for atj2051... The dump firmware's version is 3.5.35 and the full firmware's version is 3.0.42... I was wondering wheter what I needed wasn't a full firmware version 3.5.35?
I'm not quite sure of anything, but the fact is that I REALLY want my dear player back =~~~~

-The number on the black chip: Atj2051w;
-Foston Mp3 player - 512mb;
-7 colors lcd;
-Fm;
-Phone Book;
-Voice and Fm Recording, and all that crap... ;P
Ah! Right!... Sorry for my awful english xD I'm brazilian and learned to speak this whole crap by myself ^^
