Default Player won't charge at all

Well...I bought 4 mp4 players all from different sellers on ebay. I experienced a problem with one and someone on here was kind enough to help me fix that. Now, I have another problem with another player. This one won't charge AT ALL. I tried the wall outlet and the computer and it still wont charge not even a lick.....any thoughts? Thanks for your help.

frustrated,
Have you tried a different USB cable?
Does the player work at all even when connected?
Is the player switched on while charging?
You may need to open the player and check that the battery connections are ok.

Default Troubleshooting

The player has to be working before answering the questions and make sure it wasn't dropped.

I have 3 questions for you frustrated;

1: When you hook it up to the computer, does the screen come on?

2: Can you transfer files between the two?

3: If it does, do you see the battery indicator show it charging?

If the answer is YES to the first two questions, your cable is fine. We can then go to the third.

If you answered NO to either of the first two questions, then I would suspect the cable.

If the 3rd question is YES, then you have a bad battery. I just disconnect the battery internally to test this theory and the indicator went to charging mode.

If the 3rd question is NO, then that may be a firmware problem as the software does monitor the battery. In what way I'm not sure, but I bet charging is in control as well. Would have too because Li-Poly could be destroyed if there is no control on charging current/voltage.
