Here is what he told me

"there is a tool in progress, called "s1flash", which will be able to

yeah im in exactly the same boat here, got same player and have tried the same 9.048 firmware and get the same results of it starting up ok then get the battery icon and it powers off, with the usb lead in it shows a comp and mp3 icon and says connected then after a few min the screen is slightly distorted but cant access any features of the player.... no one got the 1.5" 9.050 firmware yet?

I have more or less the same problem. LCD 1.5", Chipset AT J2091N, 4 GB with radio and motherboard FMX2588@163.COM. I have tried a lot of firmware but screen always black (MP4 dead). The only one that give me some symptom of life is 9.0.48 full 1.5 LCD but I have permanently the clepsydra on. I hope that very soon we can have a new firmware that can solve our problems.

Put me down for a copy of 9.0.50 as well. I knew I should have made a backup!!!.

Im using the 9048. Screen is garbled with USB but if I switch it on and off its ok. Software works ok with music etc...

the 1.8" version didnt work

Re: Firmware for ATJ2091N (need 9.0.50 for 1.5" LCD)

I have exactly the same problem.

I saw today, that my player make problems when I copy more then 1 GB on it (it should be 4)
So I made a backup from my firmware (I think it was 9.0.50 or 9.0.48), and then I formatted the drive and saw - ohh only 1 GB...amazing....
I read anywhere - I don't know where - that it is a firmware problem - that I only have 1 GB left.....

So clever how I am - I updated my recovered backup - ignoring, that this version (which I made the update) were all 00000 - and I could see....NOTHING WORKS ANY MORE......FUCK......I could at least have a 1 GB MP4-Player.....arghh why the hell did I do this in the morning.....

So of course I read the whole day about the whole topic, try very different kinds of firmwares - and I also read, that it is impossible to make a backup from 9.0.50 .....arghh....I was so stupid in the morning....

but back to topic - I have now the same problem like everyone else - that was the first and only firmware (the 9048 full) which works at least a bit.....but yeahh same problem, battery seems to be empty.....

So hopefully we all get soon a new version - and the problem (with the 1 GB and not 4 GB) is also going to Ebay.....

Cheers
