Default 9.0.48 installed

My player originally had the 9.0.50 on it. I upgraded it trying to fix it cause of the hack. It stop working. Didn't know all I had to do was format. I installed the 9.0.48 and it comes on but won't stay on after it get's to main menu then it shows a picture of a battery with a red x on it. Does anyone know if my battery is not charging or is the 9.0.48 firmware not running right on my player?

I know we have the same exact player. This is mine, check out my seller.

This is a video of my player shutting off after reaching main menu and showing battery with red X. I know our original firmware wasn't the 9.0.48 I remeber before trying to upgrade it said 9.0.50 in the upgrade utility.

Just checked out your video...Exactly the same going on, also from the same seller on ebay.

Have you tried contacting him?

I emailed him about the memory and he offered to refund me £4 GBP. I agreed to this partial refund, but never got it!
have email him since about the firmware but not had any reply.

seems the guy dont wanna know when things go wrong.

No I emailed him first about sending me firmware, but I don't think these sellers know anything about what they are selling. They just know what's hot and sell them. I don't think it's the sellers fault either. The Venders must sell them to our sellers and tell them what they are and the sellers just list them with the info they were given. If you check our sellers other auctions now he isn't selling the 4gb anymore. If he were still selling the 4gb then I'd say he's at fault too. I filed a complaint with ebay and of course they emailed me back and basically said they aren't going to do anything about it. I also filed a dispute with paypal. I asked for a full refund or a new working player and I would be willing to pay for the shipping. If I can get the same player maybe I can extract the firmware and use it on my broken player. Well keep in touch and let me know how your case goes.

These new versions of 9.0.48 and 9.0.50 are really weird. When nervous1uk posted his problem, i thought it was a battery fault. Now skunk also has the same problem, battery fault? too much a coincidence i think.

nervous1uk, i'll suggest you start an ebay/paypal dispute. These sellers usually only respond/refund when a dispute has been started.

It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

Thanks arviverona. Yes, someone emailed me the 9.0.48 firmware. I managed to upload it. Unfortunately, it is still not working. The screen is like a TV out of synch - that is the menu is cut in half with 1/2 on top and 1/2 at the bottom and auto shut off after about 10 seconds.
Anyway, I have emailed my ebay seller David 8828 and I am waiting for him to email me the factory firmware.
I asked him for a full refund plus postage back to him. Originally I bought 2 off him and one was dead on arrival which I posted back to him. I bought a 3rd one which he send with the replacement and the replacement is dead which I am trying to revive.
Very bad experience as it shows 2 of the 4 players are faulty and all of them are hacked 1G samsung chips.
Anyway if the factory firmware he sends me work, I will upload it here.
Thank you.

Hi

I have a nano clone with FW 9.0.48, and I have a dodgy battery!! I charged it for a long time the day i got it but it only holds charge for about 30 minutes I assumed the battery was a piece of crap!! and after a few days of re charging it, it still has not changed. I cant update my firmware yet as a tool to do it does not exist until the next update for the tool that does it!!
I am gong to contact the seller, Uxcell (not ebay seller) and see if they want to come to the party, they also stock larger 330 mAh replacement nano batteries for a price. I am going to replace my battery!! it is only 180 mAh from factory which (as far as I am concerned really F##cking crappy)
I guess when it comes to buying online the motto is......................

BUYER BEWARE

cheers

Joffa
