Help finding firmware - Uxcell NEON 1GB player.

Hey there all,

Recently my mp3 player stopped working for some unknown reason. So I need to find the correct firmware to load back onto it.
I know the player isn't hacked as I've always been able to load the correct amount of data on to it with no problems.
The only problem is it won't turn on anymore.

Uxcell sell my player (I bought it through eBay though) but I haven't been able to find the firmware myself yet, so I hope someone here can help me.

Here's an image of my player. Its a bit like a nano-clone but a bit shorter and bulkier. The silver border around the screen also has "ONKI MV-60" on it.

According to Uxcell's website, the Model Number is: mv0pur1024mp006
I don't know if it's relevant but the colour of my player is black, including the buttons.

More information on the features can be found here at Uxcell's website:

Thanks for any help, I'm very keen to get this working again.

Cheers

vonquent , are you able to charge the player?
Does the player function normally when plugged into the USB?

Re: Help finding firmware - Uxcell NEON 1GB player.

When I connect it via USB, Windows doesn't recognise it as a removable disk, but it's still detects it as an ADFU device, but I can't do anything with it.

The RDiskUpdate tool that came with the player recognises it as being plugged in as well.

As for charging I'm not sure. When it first stopped turning on I thought it was because of low battery, so I left it plugged into the USB and then plugged in to the mains for a couple of hours each, which should give it a pretty decent charge.

Is there a chance replacing the firmware could recover my player?

vonquent , it seems to me that the firmware somehow got corrupted, which might explain the player not working suddenly.

Also, the player is detected as an ADFU device, which means the player is in need of a firmware.

I would suggest you open the player and look for the processor's serial number. Then look for suitable firmwares in the downloads section.
