Can i recover my 2" dead player

Can i recover it if i buy a new one and copy the firmware from the working new player and upload it to the dead player, or is this what the "s1fwx" program would do but the recent version is not compatible with the newer firmwares?

scarabeus79, If the player is using version 9.0.48 or 9.0.50 firmware then you will not be able to copy it the tools only work on firmware up to 9.0.43.
