old firmware

hi all, im scared to apply for a new firmware, i have a nano clone 1'8 whit : 9.0.43 (2006/04/29)
my question is how to save my current firmware, when whit other firmware get killed.
im pleased whit my player look good this firmware but i want to try other firmwares too.

petikeis , you should be able to extract your current firmware with the latest version of S1fwx 3.1, the guide is here http://www.mympxplayer.org/how-to-ex...tool-vt66.html

It would be adviseable not to try any other random firmwares as it might kill your player. Have a search in the forum for dead player and you'll understand.

petikeis, "lattesurf" makes a good point about not trying to upgrade your firmware, there is a very great risk that you may kill your player and no real benefit.

i read on this forum,somwhere,somebody had the same player with the same firmware version, and he put it
9.0.50 version,and no trouble,within.
but nvm i let it so,
dontknow that exist topic for my another question, i dont find that ...how to chainge welcome and goodbye thems.i have a welcome greting whit flowers and bold fond , and the goodbye is an ugly Panda.
i downloaded other greeting pics/message,but the upgrade tool dosent recognise it.
