Format error
I am really confused, I bought my daughter an MP$ player off Ebay, it is supposed to be a 1GB player. It is the one that is listed as a 1.8 MP4 player (has a 1.8 " screen) plays mp3 and movies, and has a built in FM radio. It is also the one that looks like an Ipod Nano except that the screen is slightly larger and the menu button has an M instead of the word menu.
Fisrt off how do I know if it is hacked to lie about actual storage size? She loaded about 15 cd's of music some Jpgs of pictures and even a few movies we converted to amv format from her camera. The drive showed about half full, which seemed right and since we had no trouble getting past the 1/4 full mark, 1 GByte vs 1 Gbit it seemed to be ok. Now tonight the player gives a Format Error every time we try to play a song. Will the Remove hack procedure work on players less than 2GB? |
Tedbeau, You can use the disk tool to check if the chip is hacked or not by checking the capacity readings in the format and partition encrypt tabs.
If they are the same then the chip should be ok, if the part\encrypt tab reads lower than the format tab then the chip is hacked. Here is a post that explains. http://www.mympxplayer.org/feedback-...rs-vt2828.html |
